The government is providing additional funding of £150 million over 3 academic years to be spent on improvong the quality of physical education and school sports provision. All state maintained schools, academies, Free Schools, middle schools, special schools and pupil referaal units are held accountable for how this additional funding is used to support pupils' progress and participation in school sports adn PE provision.
At Hatcham Temple Grove Free School both PE and school sport is seen as an important part of a rich curriculum which contributes to the health and well-being of our pupils. In addition, PE and extra-curricular sports activities can also have a positive impact on a child's self-esteem, confidence, concentration and academic achievement.
ALLOCATION 2014 - 2015 £4,842
This funding will be used to provide two after school enrichment activities in Capoeira and a Multi-sports after school enrichment club. PE equipment has been purchased to ensure high quality provision for curriculum PE, after school provision and also to provide sports equipment for the children to utilise during lunchtime and breaks.
