Our Key Stage 3 Curriculum Map encourages pupils to study a variety of texts which are linked thematically, and to respond in written and spoken form to these texts. A Unit of study will incorporate a variety of text forms and is taught over two terms to ensure there is sufficient depth to pupils’ knowledge and understanding.

This is a coursework unit where pupils produce a media artefact from a series of briefs. The process will go through from pre-production to a fully realised piece.
Exam paper which covers the areas of Textual Analysis and Representation alongside Institutions and Audiences.
This is a coursework unit where pupils engage with contemporary media technologies to produce their own portfolio through a combination of two or more media.
Exam paper which covers the two areas of Theoretical Evaluation of Production alongside a study of Contemporary Media Issues.
